Rabbi Zev Kahn on Safari	Meet Rabbi Kahn Rabbi Zev Kahn is better known in the Chicagoland area as the "Rugby Rabbi" from his days as a former Maccabi Games Gold Medalist. Originally from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Rabbi Kahn came to Chicago after spending six years in Jerusalem, Israel. There Rabbi Kahn was enrolled in an advanced Torah learning program at Yeshivas Ohr Somayach, where he obtained his rabbinic ordination and participated in various programs for students from around the world. The Kahns moved to Chicago in 1998, and in 2005 Rabbi Kahn founded JET (Jewish Education Team). He and his wife, Hilary, a native of Los Angeles, live with their four children in West Rogers Park and they just can't wait until you come for Hilary's Challah!!! Rabbi Garfinkel & Family	Meet Rabbi Garfinkel Rabbi Shalom Garfinkel grew up in Northern California, loving the 49ers and life. (In the 80' and 90's those were synonymous!) He attended Stanford University whose excellence in many areas could not quench his growing thirst to understand his Jewish roots. Upon graduation, Rabbi Garfinkel journeyed to Israel to enter rabbinic school and after two years married his beautiful wife, Suri. After six years in Israel together, Shalom and Suri came to UCLA to share their passion for being Jewish with Jewish college students. After three great years at UCLA, the Garfinkels and their six daughters (the youngest are twins!) moved to Chicago in 2007. Rabbi Garfinkel is the Director of Campus Outreach for JET on several Chicago campuses. He loves playing sports, teaching the wisdom of Judaism, and connecting with students. The entire Garfinkel family looks forward to having you over to their home for Shabbos or any time for home-cooked meals. Just remember...you must come hungry!!! Rabbi Burian & Family	Meet The Burians Rabbi Ari Burian and his wife Avigial are both Buffalo Grove natives. They grew up loving adventures in the prairie land of the northern suburbs. Starting off exploring the halls of Stevenson High School, they ventured off to Yeshiva University in Manhattan to get a taste of the Big Apple and a bigger taste of Judaism. After getting married, Rabbi Ari and Avigial were drawn back to Chicago, where Rabbi Ari received a masters’ degree in electrical engineering at UIC, but their adventures weren’t over yet. They picked up their family and spent two years in Israel to build on their love for Torah, Israel, and the Jewish people. Obtaining rabbinical ordination and a teaching degree at Yeshivas Ohr Somayach, Rabbi Ari and his family are now moving to Champaign to explore with others what it really means to be Jewish! Avigial is a professional artist and uses her creativity to present Judaism though various fun and interactive media: from abstract challahs to imaginative mezuzahs to wall-to-wall Jewish murals. Rabbi Ari, Avigial, and their three children are excited to show what they have to offer U of I.
