WHAT IS JET?
JET - Jewish Education Team is an independent Jewish outreach organization focused on helping and guiding Jewish college students and young professionals on their life's journey.  Our flagship program is at the JET House at the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign. We offer classes, one-on-one learning, home-cooked Shabbat and Holiday meals, and phenomenal trips that are relevant, meaningful and fun in a warm and accepting atmosphere to everyone.

JET's HISTORY
Founded by former South African rugby player, Rabbi Zev Kahn in September 2005, JET launched its programming on Chicago campuses with the Maimonides Leaders Fellowship, an intensive 10-week crash course in Judaism.  Since then, more than 400 students have graduated from this amazing educational program.  Expanding downstate to Champaign and to young professionals in Chicago, JET has reached thousands of students in the last 17 years.

JETs MISSION
JET’s goal is to inspire and empower Jewish college students and young professionals in Illinois to develop a stronger connection to our Jewish heritage, the Jewish people, and the land of Israel through relevant, enjoyable, authentic, and innovative educational, social and travel programs.

JET's VISION

JET strives to provide all Jewish college students and young professionals in Illinois with the best resources needed to make informed choices about their Jewish life and their contribution to the Jewish people, giving them added meaning and purpose to their lives
